Filmed and edited by yours truly I had to make a short video sequence to accompany the two billboards I 'mocked' for Barry M cosmetics. Bare in mind I haven't made video's much. I am pleased with this result and will definitely consider making video's to accompany my future work.

20.03.11 Cosmetics Make up ideas
As part of my digital production class I will be making an advertisement for Barry M make up and have been researching make up ideas for the shoot. Along with some of the previous stock images I have also found these which will relate to my final shoot.

14.03.11 Youthful Photography
To research how youthfulness is shown in photography I found these two photographers whose personal documentary work is very energetic and beautiful. Logan Jackson’s irrepressible love of nature is unavoidably omnipresent in his delicate, stunning works. Jackson’s vivid portrayals of the outdoors are full of energy, beauty and boundless possibility.
Counter to many photographer's professional instincts, Richard Kern not only prefers to work with modelling novices, but when working with professional models he actively endeavours to strip away their learned behaviours. Despite shooting commercially for some of the world’s most recognisable fashion and men’s titles including Purple, V, GQ, Hustler and Playboy, his most exciting work comes from his borderline voyeuristic, portraits of young women.

10.03.11 RJ Shaughessy- Stussy Look Book
I really like black and white photography and when researching youth culture for my digital production unit I found this great look book which is a mock-documentary style fashion shoot capturing youth energy.
RJ Shaughessy, an LA-based photographer who's garnered a credible following after shooting great campaigns for the likes of Microsoft, Adidas and Urban Outfitters, has been commissioned by Stussy to shoot their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection lookbook. To fit alongside previous campaign's from Stüssy, the collection was shot in black-and-white, while maintaining Shaughnessy's trademark approach and methods.

09.03.11 Documentary Project
For my Creative practices unit I have been photographing at PDCastings, a foundry which produces brake disks. I have found the experience very challenging and hope that the final result will be good. Here are a few shots I've taken so far.
The brief for documentary is photographing a community so I'm not sure what I need to do to show this in the sequence.

02.03.2011 Exhibition
Recently I've been up in London helping out my tutor Paul Wenham-Clarke set up an exhibition. The project (commissioned by 'The Big Issue') is called Hard Times and won the AOP's Gold Award 2010. The project is a set of documentary style portraits of Big Issue sellers and their stories. I had a great time setting up the exhibit at St Martin in-the-fields crypt and hope all goes well on opening night.
Here are a few of my favourites and for more information on this exhibition see the link above.
