31.05.15 Elizabeth Gadd's Wonder Lust
When I found these photographs I couldn't not show someone, they are beautiful and breath taking, as though you are witnessing the landscape yourself. They capture the feeling of freedom and, in a way, our own insignificance in our world and how that frees you from modern life where you are encouraged to focus on yourself and your achievements.
Elizabeth Gadd is a self taught Canadian photographer who likes to photograph wanderers and adventurers in some completely stunning landscapes.
She has said that she aims to “display human interaction with nature in a positive and peaceful way.” That’s why a lot of her photos are self-portraits, as she finds her favorite serene locations when she wanders alone.

16.11.14 FILMS
Spike Jonze's modern romance Her. Starring Joaquin Phoenix,
Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson, the film tells the story of a heartbroken
man called Theodore (played by Phoenix) who falls in love with
"Samantha" - his advanced new computer's operating system (voiced by
Johansson).
I recently watched this film and loved it, sometimes strange but always interesting the film touches on how technology is turning us into a world full of lonely people. The "sex" scene was slightly awkward but other than that I was stuck to the screen the whole way through.
It certainly goes on the shelve with 'Lars Real Girl' as an unusual film which I'm glad I stumbled upon!
