Live music event Photography: Joda Cema and Endea 09.10.2015

More live event photography, more issues...mainly with lighting. While Endea favoured some very strong red light directly on their faces, Joda Cema enjoys strobe lighting. I've learnt many things from my new experiences with band photography but mainly that my camera is slow, I'm fed up of seeing a loading please wait message. Otherwise I'm happy that I got a few good shots for the bands and a wicked night out.

I'll be releasing the images on my website soon....

Live music event Photography: Metaprism 19.09.2015

So it's been a month since my first taste of live event photography and couldn't resist revisiting 'Metaprism'. On entering the Firehouse in Southampton I gave a huge sigh of relief, the venue was bigger and had so much more light! The gig, as before was great and I had so much fun being spontaneous and not worrying too much about setting up the shot and being perfect but more about capturing the moment as it happens. The things I want to work on include my exposure control, being more ballsey and no in camera editing, in other words I need to relinquish control, stop looking to see if I have the shot and just capture, capture, capture! Again, I definitely need to update my camera....started to get a little annoyed with the 'busy' screen while using continuous capture but felt my prime lens was adequate and another size would be a welcome addition to my kit.
